I am a mom to amazing twin girls, a wife, and I work full time. I battled infertility for 2 years and over the course of treatments, a twin pregnancy, and raising twins I managed to gain about 80 lbs. I’ve lost about 50 lbs so far and would like to lose another 50 in my quest to become a hot mama.

11 hours of sleep does the body good

Yeah...you read that right...last night, I slept for 11 hours.  Surprisingly, I still didn’t get up when the alarm went off…and I could still go back to bed right now!

I am quite impressed by this feat because I don’t think I’ve ever slept 11 consecutive hours.  Ok…I am lying…they weren’t exactly consecutive.  DH woke me up at 9:30 when he got home from a business dinner to give me my PIO shot…and I ate ice cream…and then I went back to bed.

Needless to say my headache is gone.  And not really surprising…the bleeding has slowed down A LOT!  I am barely spotting today (knock on wood).

Now for the real challenge, let’s see how easy I can take it this weekend while we pack for the big move!!

  1. I am so glad the spotting/bleeding is slowing down!! What an answered prayer :) Glad you are feeling more rested! Good luck with the packing- I know it can be draining!

  2. I hate packing with the hate of a thousand fiery burning suns. Even the possibility of additional bleeding seems like a really good excuse to me for you to call in favors from anyone you know. (Of course this works better if you aren't a control freak like me.)

As for sleep - I am so, so, jealous.

  7. I am so glad the bleeding slowed and you got a nice, long sleep. That had to be good for your mental well-being as well. When can you stop your PIO? I was able to stop mine at 6 weeks because I had 3 placentas in there making their own hormones. You must be able to stop yours sooner than a singleton I'd imagine. I was secretly glad because have you ever read the PIO insert?!

Good luck with your move! Moving is the devil. Seriously. And moving pregnant with twins -- well, you're my hero. =)

  8. Um yea, I think I was in a coma (when I wasn't hurling) until about week 10. Enjoy it. :)
