I am a mom to amazing twin girls, a wife, and I work full time. I battled infertility for 2 years and over the course of treatments, a twin pregnancy, and raising twins I managed to gain about 80 lbs. I’ve lost about 50 lbs so far and would like to lose another 50 in my quest to become a hot mama.

Bleeding???!!!!! : (

We are vacationing in San Antonio.  Last night I started spotting.  It was brownish discharge when I wipe.  It has gotten worse this morning.  It was enough to soak the TP when I wiped this morning.  I have been hysterical ever since.  I am not cramping, and I know that is good...but I just don't see how I can be bleeding this much and have everything be OK.

U/S is tomorrow.  I'll guess we'll know then is this is game over or not.

Please say a little prayer for us and for this bean!!!!

  1. Oh, Emily...definitely praying for you & your little one. I believe that the fact that it is brown is a good sign that everything is okay with the baby. Hoping for a baby had a similar situation last week & everything at her u/s turned out to be okay. (http://hopingforababy.wordpress.com/)
Stay hopeful & try to relax, will be keeping you in my thoughts:)

  2. I am definitely saying a prayer for your little one.

    Some comfort:
I had a bleeding episode that resembled AF at 7w2d and it was just a small pocket of blood in my uterus that the RE said would clear itself up. I just had to stay off my feet til the bleeding stopped. KK over at Adding to the Pack just had a similar episode and all is well with her little bean, too.

Praying hard for your little one and for you and your DH.

  4. I'll be praying for you and hope that the bleeding is nothing! If it is, they should be able to see on the u/s where the bleeding is coming from

  5. Bleeding is super normal...when I had my bright red spotting a couple weeks ago they said to call if I was going through a pad an hour, so less than that wad not a concern. Thank goodness you have your u/s tomorrow! I know how hard this is, but you must believe that eveything is going to be ok. Sending you big hugs and prayers!!!

  7. Emily - I have to ditto what the pp's have said. I am sure your dr. will already do this, but make sure your progesterone is checked! Low progesterone levels can cause spotting, however this can easily be treated with Prometrium during your first trimester. Hang in there sweetie - I know it is SO hard to remain faithful - trust me.

Big hugs to you and hang in there tight little bean!

    XOXO

  8. Sounds okay to me so far.....trust me, when I had my MC....there was cramping, RED blodd with clots, etc. What you are having, even though you don't want to hear this, sounds okay and normal. Breathe....I know, hardest thing to do right now....but try. Let us know how US goes tomorrow!

  9. Well.. I hate to admit that I was on my phone during our church service this morning (the preacher was wrapping it up.. and I was getting antsy.. lol) But, now that I have a chance to comment.. I just wanted to let you know that I said a prayer for you at church right after I read your post. And I wanted to let you know that like a PP said.. when I miscarried (at 6 weeks) it was definately RED and clotty. So, I dont see any reason for you to worry just yet! Brown spotting means "old blood" and it couldve happened for MANY different reasons that dont have anything to do with miscarrying!

    Hang in there darling!

    God Bless

    XOXO
