I am a mom to amazing twin girls, a wife, and I work full time. I battled infertility for 2 years and over the course of treatments, a twin pregnancy, and raising twins I managed to gain about 80 lbs. I’ve lost about 50 lbs so far and would like to lose another 50 in my quest to become a hot mama.

In the NICU

Sorry for the lack of posts.  These past few days have been an emotional whirlwind.  In short, we are still in the NICU.  We are making progress every day.

My husband and I started a Tumblr site to keep our family and friends updated.  The link is: http://fostertwins.tumblr.com/

Due to lack of time, I'll just let everyone click over there to see pics and check on our hospital progress.  Hopefully I'll be able to resume a semi normal blogging role in the near future!

  6. Hang in there, Emily. I know what you are enduring and it is so hard. Our kids were in the NICU for 71 days (Liam), 76 days (Jude), and 82 days (Sophie and Ethan) and it was SO hard, frustrating and sad. But they will come home -- time just drags in the NICU so it's difficult to see that right now. Try to take one day at a time and celebrate each NICU victory (every bottle taken, every line out, every diaper, every bath). Your girls are so sweet and beautiful! *big hugs*

  8. I really hope that you get them home soon! My kids are up to every other feeding with a bottle, and it is really frusturating because they arent finishing the feed that is done in the middle of the night (when the nurse does it) but if I feed them, then they can finish it all (well... most of the time!) plus, it took a long time for them to even find a formula that they can tolerate.
Your girls are so precious! good luck! hang in there!
