After the festival we decided to go out to a nice lunch at the Cheesecake factory. We could not have asked the girls to behave better! We ordered our food and then fed the girls their bottles at the table. We did get some odd glares, but if the table is good enough for us to eat at, then it’s good enough for the girls to eat at. They both finished their bottles just as our food came to the table. Harper and Stella sat in their car seats quietly and watched us eat. If you have ever eaten at the Cheesecake factory before, you know how crowded it can get and how long the lines for the bathroom can be (and there is only one changing table inside of the handicapped stall). Unfortunately the long lines in the womens bathroom, meant that dad had to change the girls diapers in the men’s bathroom. Dad was a rock-star and had both girls changed without a hitch. After lunch, the girls enjoyed their first shopping trip at the mall. All in all it was a good day out! We are beginning to feel more comfortable traveling outside of the house with them and incorporating their activities and feedings into ours.
Both girls have also been sleeping really well. They usually go about 4 ours at night before they wake up for their feeding. If they are really fussy, we will put them in our bed and they seem to fall right asleep! I think they like mom and dad’s bed. What do you think?
What a busy day! You guys are brave!! It feels good to go out and feel normal again, doesn't it? Before long I'm sure taking them out will become second nature and you'll laugh at moms like me who get nervous taking out just one!
ReplyDeleteWe take the twins out as often as possible and it's so funny because we took them to the Cheesecake factory this weekend too!! As soon as they babes can handle it, get two umbrella strollers instead for crowded places, it's much better.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice weekend out!
They are absolutely adorable! Congrats on a successful first outing!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you all had fun! The babies are beautiful. I do, however, have to point out something from the picture that made me laugh. The lady to your left in the stroller picture is adjusting her boob in her bra. TOO FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I am glad you got out and enjoyed yourselves.
ReplyDelete*Cheers* to many more!
I was going to comment on the lady in the picture digging in her shirt, but RachelP beat me to it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of you for getting out and about with twins! And for adjusting their schedule to yours. Sounds like you are managing very well!!!
